Our approach follows the principles of the DMT Group sustainability policy, applied to the way a site in Portugal is actually run.
Principles
What we work to.
Sustainable construction is not a statement on a website. It is decided in procurement volumes, in how waste leaves the site, in how much energy the works consume, and in whether the building performs after the keys change hands.
ECDMT does not claim environmental certifications it has not obtained. What follows describes the principles we work to, the practices we apply on site, and what we measure at the end of each contract.

Environmental responsibility
Managing the environmental impact of site activity: dust, noise, discharge, soil and the surrounding context.

Energy efficiency
Controlling site energy consumption and supporting the correct execution of energy-efficient design solutions.

Resource efficiency
Ordering to measured quantities, reducing over-supply and protecting materials from damage on site.

Waste reduction and recycling
Separation at source, traceable disposal routes and recovery of construction waste where available.

Social responsibility
Safe working conditions, fair treatment of site teams and prioritising local labour where possible.

Honest reporting, controlled procurement and documented decisions.
Continuous improvement
Reviewed, not assumed.
Practices are reviewed against what actually happened on site — waste volumes, rework, incident reports and supplier performance — and adjusted for the next project.
ECDMT does not claim any environmental certification unless it is explicitly stated. Group-level policies are published by DMT Group.
